Good morning, friends! Today I need to give a shout out to some of the most amazing people in the world…moms! My goodness, I am so lucky to be surrounded by some of the very best who walk alongside me and lift me up when I’m down. I don’t know what I did to deserve all the love and support, but I know I will never take it for granted and I thank God for my fierce tribe of moms every single day!
Last week I was down and out with an unexpected health complication. I was unable to function and was forced to lay very low and put my feet up. Ha! With 4 kids?! That’s near impossible! I found myself itching to just get up and do more, but my body was betraying me and wouldn’t allow that. It is so hard to give up control and allow others to step in and pick up the slack, but that is exactly what happened. Just like that, my tribe swooped in and made meals, delivered books, brought sweet valentine’s, delivered my favorite flowers, sat by my side in silence as I was in some of the worst pain just so I wasn’t alone, sent countless texts and messages, gave hugs, love and prayers. The list goes on…
I am overwhelmed just thinking about the support and love I have been surrounded with. There was a time when I was a new mom that I felt so alone and isolated. I never imagined I would come to enjoy being a stay at home mom because I felt so secluded from the “real world”. Then I started to find these wonderful friends who were walking the same path as me and we forged these amazing bonds that have become so strong. They have helped me thrive. They have helped me find my passions and my purpose. They have uplifted me to a place where I am the happiest I have ever been. They have become more valuable than any diamonds or gold.
To my tribe, I whole-heartedly appreciate you and love you. I treasure each and every one of you for the blessing you are in my life. Words can not adequately describe the gratitude I have for you. I am a firm believer that God orchestrates who we cross paths with in life…I am so thankful that He crossed ours.
To any moms who are still in the isolated stage, I get it. It’s lonely and exhausting, both physically and emotionally. Hang in there and don’t brush off chance meetings. God could be crossing your path with someone for a good reason. Go with it. Find your tribe. In the meantime, reach out to me. I’d love to be an encouragement for you. As a good friend just recently said, “Moms Unite!” We’re all in this together. ❤
***Side note: Also a MEGA HUGE thanks to my in-laws and my parents who held down the fort while I was down and out. I just can’t even tell you how much you mean to me. Angels on earth. ❤
Until next time…
Be Light. Be love. Believe. Just be…
Lindy
